Passagen Linköping
2006
In the dimly lit room a spotlight shined on a watercolor painting
hanging on the wall. The watercolor represented me blushing, with
a silly smile, so that I looked a little lost. Very thinly painted,
the picture was barely visible without a closer look.
When the observer leaned in within 40cm of the painting they were
blinded by a very strong flash. The flash bursted through the paper
which had a photograph on the back. The photograph showed me standing
naked with the genitals hidden between my legs to imitate a woman's
body. After being blinded, the visitor had the photograph etched on
their retina. Wherever the visitor looked, the photograph remained
in front of their eyes, even with their eyes closed. The image in
the persons eyes lasted for about 5 minutes then faded away.
